Docents (Garden Guides): Share your knowledge by leading tours of our Gardens for adult groups and school groups. Welcome and direct the public, hand out support materials and answer questions about the Garden’s grounds, programs and history. Maintenance Member: A special opportunity for gardeners wishing to help with weeding, pruning, planting and maintaining beds at the Gardens. Membership Assistant: Volunteer to actively promote memberships at Gardens’ events. Office Assistant: Volunteer to help keep the Gardens’ office functions well organized including filing, copying, faxing, labeling and/or stuffing envelopes, opening and sorting Gardens’ mail. Special Events Supporter: The Gardens has several special events that allow people to come and experience the Gardens in a variety of unique and exciting ways. The success of these events depends on the time and talents of our volunteers. Help with set up, flow of event, and clean up for family and/or adult event/project/workshop. Board Member: Serve as an elected, active member of the Board of Directors for the Gardens. Committee Member: Serve on a Garden Committee (Education, Events, Finance, Fund Development, Marketing, Membership, Site, Volunteer Personnel). Media Relations Assistant: Facilitate press release mailings, flyer distribution and/or promotion activities in support of Garden’s marketing strategies. Volunteer Coordinator: Work with the volunteers of the Gardens to create a well organized, rewarding volunteer program. Garden Educator: Help teach children and adults about nature and gardening. Bookkeeper: Pay bills, payroll, maintain QuickBooks, prepare deposits, process payments and donations.
