Our enrollment application is sent to current families and Gardens members on Feb 1st and is open for all on Feb 8th. The deadline for priority consideration for classes is March 15. Enrollment requires a commitment to the full September through May school year.

Starting March 15, class spots are filled based on your preferred class, returning students/alumni siblings, members, and need for financial assistance (we hold 25% of class spots for families needing assistance). You will be notified of class placement or waitlist by March 22.

A one-month tuition deposit is required to secure your child’s spot in class within two weeks of class placement, and all enrollment paperwork is due within two weeks of deposit payment.

  • Sprouts students need to be potty-trained and independent in the bathroom.
  • Each family enrolled will receive a family membership to Monk Botanical Gardens. If you have a current membership, your membership will have an added year.

Sprouts Open House

Join us for a Sprouts Open House February 13th 5:30-7pm! See the classrooms and outdoor space, meet the teachers, and ask all of your questions to decide if Sprouts is a good fit for your child. Sprouts is at Monk Botanical Gardens at 1800 N 1st Ave in Wausau. Look for signs pointing you the right way to our yurts! RSVP here!

My wife, Dana, and I have been thoroughly impressed by the Monk Botanical Garden’s Sprouts Preschool program so far this year. Our son (5-year-old Elias) leaves home excited for school (that’s saying something!) and comes home thrilled and full of stories. The freedom in nature that is given to the children is something we value highly and deem as important for foundational shaping and learning. – Brad Moore
