Maybe you have seen that gyroscope-looking sculpture in the southeast corner of our Wildflower Woods area and wondered what is was. It is our Garden Kaleidoscope and it is the only one in about a hundred-mile radius. It was installed in September, 2017 and was built by Robert Anderson of Sturgeon Bay, WI. A group of dedicated Monk Garden supporters raised the funds for the kaleidoscope and several garden volunteers maintain the kaleidoscope by changing the displays to match the seasons —flowering annuals, fall gourds and pumpkins and evergreens and Christmas decorations. When you visit the garden be sure to check it out and put your eye to the eyepiece and give the bowl a spin. You will be treated to a swirling, twirling colorful treat.
